The caves and cave dwelling bats of the Banat region of Romania
30 minute Lecture|Miss Jessica Eades
Abstract
Romania has 32 species of bat, with at least 14 species seasonal users of caves and 4 species cave specialists. Romania has some of the largest European bat colonies on record, many of which are recorded in the cave environments during winter hibernation and at summer maternity sites. During the summer of 2018, Jess joined the Romanian Centre for Bat Research and Conservation to assist in some of the counts of Romania's large maternity colonies.
