Peak District Roundup 2025 to 2026 (AKA Pissing around in the Peaks 2025 to 2026)
30 minute Lecture|Simon Brooks
Abstract
A whistle stop round up of caving activities, exploration, new finds, of which once again are numerous and varied, in the Peak District 2025 to 2026. You would be forgiven for thinking that with well over 100 years of caving/exploration in the Peak District most of what is there would have been found. However, the Orpheus Diggers keep finding caves where caves should not be, the Eldon find extensions in Waterfall Hole, SUSS in Rowter Hole, Bull Pit gets deeper and the Cave Divers have been busy just to highlight a few of the activities taking place. In addition to this there is ongoing work by the Derbyshire Caving Association to improve access, replace lids, keep landowner happy and encourage the diggers and explorers to keep busy.
