Abstract

Imperial College Caving Club returns to System Migovec in Slovenia for their 32nd year of the expedition. This expedition has been named Polna Moc - Full Power; and it has certainly lived up to its name with almost 1.5km of cave being surveyed this year!

Following the rediscovery of Salome Viados last summer, the club returned in full force, pushing several leads in this colossal chamber. The exploration ranged from exciting bolt climbs to endless tight rifts in the Babylon series, all aided by the discovery of a brand new entrance (prophesied in a dream?). This entrance allowed us to finally drop the 90m pitch into Salome, making it one of the longest pitches in the system. Deeper in the system, massive loop closures have been created (destroying the survey), vertical mazes discovered, and the lowest sump in Prima has finally been observed with British eyes.

Beyond subterranean adventures, the club continued its tradition of culinary exploration, assembled a new solar set up and much more. Join us for a recap of another successful year of the expedition.
