Hidden Earth 2025
A new cave survey device - The DiscoX1
30 minute Lecture|Brendan Hall
Abstract
In 2023 Christian K and I gave a talk about how we planned to make a new cave survey device. Two years later, at the small cost of my sanity, we finally have a working prototype! In this talk, I'll show off its features, unique selling points and give you an insight into the painful journey it took to get here.
Big thanks to Phil Underwood for making his SAP6 code open source, without it, this project would not have been possible.
