Hidden Earth 2025
British Cave Science
45 minute Lecture|Andy Farrant & John Gunn
Abstract
Caves are amazing time capsules of geological and human history, preserving records of past climate, landscape changes, ancient human activity, and biological evolution. This talk will showcase some of the great cave science that has been undertaken by British cavers in the past few years both at home and overseas. We will also give some background on the work of the British Cave Research Association (BCRA), a charity that promotes cave and karst science and exploration. Please come along and learn about the British Cave Science Centre, the British Caving Library, grant funding opportunities and how to present and publish cave research.
