Buda Believers: New caves in Sarawak, Malaysia
30 minute Lecture|Louise Korsgaard
Abstract
In July 2025 a small team returns to Gunung Buda National Park in Sarawak, Malaysia. We will focus on finding new caves in the Northern - and less visited - part of the park also known as Assam Hills. The last American expedition in 2003 left a large going lead in Assam Hills Cave. At least so it says in their report. Unfortunately, the survey data has been lost. Will we find their lead? Is it a lead at all? And how will we manage to camp in the jungle without the luxury of a river? Being Buda Believers there is only one way of finding out.
