Hidden Earth 2024
Slaughter Stream Cave (The Long Round Trip)
45 minute Lecture|Paul Taylor
Abstract
When the original surveying of the Remelt Plant Series was undertaken it showed that it was very close to Kuwait Passage. Some digging work took place over a period of time but a physical connection was not made. Moving forward to 2022 and further surveying by Mark Tringham and his team gave an indication that the distance between the tow passages could well be down to a few 10's of metres and that both the Remelt passage and Kuwait passage were at the same level. Tim Nichols took up the challange assisted by many and now the reality has been achieved creating an almost 5KM round trip.
These few words don't give the efforts involved justice and both Tim and Ian Healey are going to tell you all about it and with words, pictures and video take you on what is without a doubt a "Classic Trip"
