Hidden Earth 2024
PESH 2024 - A Numbers Game
30 minute Lecture|Martin
Abstract
Visiting cavers have been going to the Sierra Mazateca to the south east of Mexico City off and on since the late 1960s. Proyecto Espeleologico Sistema Huautla (PESH) is the current incarnation of this American-run expedition and the 2024 edition was notable for drop-outs, injuries, compromised underground camping and some new cave to explore. And collecting live tarantulas and scorpions, nothing out of the ordinary!
