Hidden Earth 2019
North Wales: the Fifth Region
45 minute Lecture|Dr Rostam Namaghi
Abstract
If you know Dr Namaghi then you know that this will be at best a rambling and haphazard stream of consciousness, interspersed with pictures and tangents of a confusing nature. He happens to be a proud Gog (a North Walian) and so, with a slight touch of bias, tell you why it is the jewel in Britain's underground crown. The talk will recount his misadventures over the last few years in:
- the search for Karst on Anglesey
- the Great Orme
- Snowdonia (it's not just Croesor Rhosydd!)
- Ogof Hesp Alyn & the Alyn Valley Caves
- the diving of Powell's lode (cave diving as a spectator sport!)
So if you want to hear what you've been missing out on under North Wales then please come along! We are legally obligated to point out that he hasn't promised not to sing so please take that under advisement.
