The highs and lows of a cave climate monitoring project
30 minute Lecture|Miss Jo White
Abstract
The Yorkshire Dales Cave Monitoring project has been running since August 2016 and aims to provide background to research by Birkbeck University and University College London into rapid climate events in the early Holocene using speleothem samples. The monitoring has included logging temperature, drip rates, and CO2 as well as collecting water samples for isotope analysis.
As the project enters its third year come and hear about some of the results so far as well as the highs and lows of undertaking a project in cave science.
